Europe (UK, France, Italy, Spain)

Asia (Thailand, India, Singapore, China, Japan)

Highly varied across the continent. Japan discourages tipping entirely. Singapore includes service charges. Thailand, India, and Indonesia appreciate small tips in tourist areas. China is gradually accepting tips in major cities but it's not traditional.

Middle East (UAE, Dubai)

Tipping is customary, influenced by international business. 10-15% is standard for restaurants. Always tip in local currency when possible.

Oceania (Australia, New Zealand)

Tipping not mandatory as workers receive fair wages. However, 10% for exceptional service is becoming more common, especially in tourist areas.
