Itinerary
Arrive at Paro International Airport and meet your local representative. Enjoy a scenic drive along the Paro and Thimphu rivers to Thimphu, the capital city.
After breakfast, start your city tour of Thimphu. Visit Buddha Dordenma, a massive golden Buddha statue overlooking the valley, and the National Memorial Chorten, an important religious landmark.
Check out and drive towards Punakha. En route, stop at Dochula Pass, known for its 108 memorial chortens and wide views of the Eastern Himalayas on a clear day.
After breakfast, drive back through the valleys to Paro. On arrival, check in and freshen up. Later, visit Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong) and walk across the traditional wooden bridge.
Today is reserved for the highlight of your Bhutan trip, the hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang). Start in the morning and trek up through pine forests with colorful prayer flags.
After breakfast, enjoy some free time depending on your flight schedule. You may visit any last-minute sights or shops in Paro. Transfer to Paro Airport for your onward journey, carrying peaceful memories of your Bhutan escape.
