In a move that's sure to improve Goa's global tourism, the first charter flight from Katowice had arrived

Goa strengthened its global tourism connect with the arrival of a new charter flight from Poland on Friday, January 9, 2026. Flight ENT 1443 from Katowice landed at Manohar International Airport (MOPA) at 9:30 a.m., bringing 189 passengers eager to experience the state. It marks the first charter service from Katowice for this tourist season and the second Polish charter to reach Goa this year.
Passengers were greeted with a warm, traditional Goan reception at the airport, highlighting the state’s focus on hospitality and creating memorable visitor experiences. The latest arrival reflects Goa’s growing popularity among European travellers and its steady efforts to expand international tourism links.
Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte welcomed the arrival of the Katowice charter flight, calling it an encouraging boost for Goa’s international tourism sector. He highlighted Poland as a key market and said such services help diversify visitor sources while promoting high-quality tourism. The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to better connectivity, smooth travel experiences, and establishing Goa as a responsible, all-season global destination.
Tourism Director Kedar Naik noted that charter flights are crucial in maintaining overseas tourist flow and supporting local businesses. He pointed out that the rising interest from Polish travellers reflects Goa’s appeal beyond beaches, including its culture, wellness offerings, hinterland attractions, and nature tourism. Naik added that the department will continue collaborating with airlines and tour operators to further strengthen international links and expand Goa’s reach worldwide.

In conclusion, the Tourism Department is actively partnering with global tour operators, airlines, and industry stakeholders to expand charter services and reinforce Goa’s reputation as a year-round international destination. The arrival of the Katowice flight marks another step in strengthening Goa’s foothold in the European market and brings fresh momentum to the current tourist season, reflecting growing global confidence in the state as a welcoming and vibrant travel hub.
