Akasa Air has announced the introduction of Apple Pay as a payment option for international flight bookings, marking a significant step forward in enhancing its digital payment ecosystem. The new feature is now available on the airline’s official website and mobile application, offering international travellers a faster, more secure, and seamless checkout experience.
With this launch, Akasa Air becomes the first Indian airline to enable Apple Pay for cross-border transactions, reinforcing its commitment to delivering hassle-free and customer-centric travel experiences. The integration has been facilitated in partnership with Razorpay, India’s first payment gateway to enable Apple Pay for international transactions, enabling smoother and more reliable global bookings.

Recognising payments as a crucial part of the customer journey, Akasa Air has integrated Apple Pay to provide travellers with a trusted and familiar payment method, particularly for international bookings. Apple Pay allows users to complete transactions with a single tap using Face ID or Touch ID, eliminating the need to manually enter card details and significantly reducing checkout friction.
This streamlined payment process is expected to lower booking drop-offs, enhance transaction security, and improve overall conversion rates, especially among international customers using Apple devices.
